Hawaiian horse names?
hi yesterday i rescued two horses. a mare and a filly. the moms name is dixie and i can't come up with a name for the filly. they are both bay and the filly has a star on her head. she has beautiful eyes and is very friendly. i would really like a hawaiian names for her since i think it fits her personality. i don't want the names too long and i would like if you could but the meaning by the name or at least how to pronounce it. thanks in advance

There are people named Marilyn today, but I don't assocate them with Marilyn Monroe as was probably the original intention.

Hailei should be spelled Ha'ilei (that's not an apostrophe, it's called an 'okina) and pronounced HAH-EE-LAY
Kalena is pronounced KUH-LIN-AH.
And when you pronounce them, don't drag out the vowels like in a typical American accent. For instance, don't say KUH-LAWN-EE with it all drawled out, it should be KUH-LAH-NEE, short and quick.

Hailei should be spelled Ha'ilei (that's not an apostrophe, it's called an 'okina) and pronounced HAH-EE-LAY
Kalena is pronounced KUH-LIN-AH.
And when you pronounce them, don't drag out the vowels like in a typical American accent. For instance, don't say KUH-LAWN-EE with it all drawled out, it should be KUH-LAH-NEE, short and quick.

The only other Hawaiian things I remember from living there are the state fish: humuhumunukunukuopuwaa (I think that's how you spell it) and Papa ele ele which means blackboard or chalkboard (but really it's blackboard b/c ele ele means black).

The only other Hawaiian things I remember from living there are the state fish: humuhumunukunukuopuwaa (I think that's how you spell it) and Papa ele ele which means blackboard or chalkboard (but really it's blackboard b/c ele ele means black).
